Joe played at The Tin Fish Gaslamp restaurant, a half a block away from PETCO Park, before every Padres home game since the ballyard opened in 2004. That's eighty-one games (gigs) a season. In 2022 The Tin Fish was purchased and turned into Baja Rick's Cantina. The new ownership kept Joe on for another two years, but in January of 2024 that relationship came to an end. Joe quickly went across the street and began playing at The 207 Lounge in the Hard Rock Hotel. There he did the 2024 and 2025 seasons, but it remains to be seen whether or not he'll continue there for the 2026 baseball season. Check back for updates.
Joe wishes to thank The Tin Fish's original owner, Joseph Melluso, for hiring him in the first place, then the succeeding owners Jerry Levi and the late Mike Brown for keeping him on when they took over, and lastly Jim Gorzelanski, manager extraordinaire, and all the staff members of The Tin Fish for making his run there one of the most pleasurable gigs he's ever had. He also wishes to thank all of those baseball fans who'd stop and share a bit of their game day experience with him for all those years.
